Latest version will try and relocate itself into your macOS "Applications" folder each time you run it. This is unacceptable. Apps should never take the liberty of moving themselves without the owner's permission. That, by definition, is a virus. Overall the app and function is good and offers a fairly stable service. The ability to share individual windows and only individual windows is wonderful. The transition between sharing one window to the next is a little twitchy but workable. The system lacks the security features to allow you to permit or deny regular phone calls. It can be set such that people must request access to the screen and voice over Internet but anyone can dial in with the phone number at any time and you can't do a thing about it. It has constant problems with the macOS audio subsystem and cannot accurately use the audio input or output on systems with more than the basic speaker and microphone setup with a secondary monitor (I have two external monitors, laptop, and external speakers). The programming does not follow best practices as this is not rocket science (the system will handle the work for you). Function +***** Virus action -**** Stability and Compatibility -** "Just an App" Drag and Drop Install without any other mess elsewhere in system +*** Total +**

In addition to Join.me, you may try other alternative tools like webex, R-HUB web conferencing servers etc. for remote meetings, screen sharing, application sharing etc.

Ruined by recent updates that now require an account to use. This was my go-to screen-sharing tool for helping friend/family/others with computer problems. All they had to do was download and launch. Now they'd have to create an account and login before use — for no reason I can discern, other than as a way to hassle people into ponying up for the pro version.

Retina Users: I just wanted to let everyone know Join.me does work properly on hosts with a Retina display. Viewers will see your screen at a reasonable resolution, unlike other tools like Google Chrome Remote Desktop.
